GHL contact action buttons for the “deposit’s in!” moment

A guest calls to confirm, the deposit lands, and your desk has to find the right tag in a long list before the next call. With a contact actions bar it is one tap: Deposit paid, Waitlist, Send itinerary. Each tap can fire the workflow behind it.

The short answer

How do GoHighLevel quick tags save time?

GoHighLevel quick tags from the contact actions bar put your most used tags and actions on every contact page as one-tap chips and buttons. A tap adds or removes a tag, which can start a workflow; a button can also open a short form that fills custom fields. The page updates at once, with no reload.

Five contact actions for a tour reservation desk

Each one pairs a chip or button with a workflow you already have (or build once in GoHighLevel).

Built to be trusted

Fast for the desk, safe for the data

  • Uses GoHighLevel’s own API with the signed-in user’s session
  • If GoHighLevel refuses a change, the chip flips back and says why
  • Optional notes record who added which tag, and when a field changed
  • Limit any chip or button to the sub-accounts that need it
How to set it up

Add contact action buttons in four steps

  1. Step 1

    Add quick tags

In the Contact actions tab, add chips for the tags your desk uses most, with their own colours for added and not yet added.

  2. Step 2

    Add buttons and forms

Create buttons that add, remove or toggle tags, or open a short form whose fields map to custom fields on the contact.

  3. Step 3

    Connect your workflows

Point each button at the tag a GoHighLevel workflow listens for, such as "send itinerary", so one press starts it.

  4. Step 4

    Save

The bar appears on every contact page, in the sub-accounts you chose, on the next page load.

What is the contact actions bar?
A floating bar on every GoHighLevel contact page with one-tap quick tags and buttons. A tap adds or removes a tag, a button can start a workflow or open a short form that fills custom fields. It saves the hunt through the tag menu on every call.
Can a button start a GoHighLevel workflow?
Yes. Buttons add, remove or toggle tags, so any workflow with a tag added or tag removed trigger starts from one press. "Send itinerary" is a typical example.
Which custom fields can a form fill in?
Any custom field in the sub-account. Each form field links to one, with types such as text, paragraph, number, date, drop-down, email, phone or link, and can be required. Departure date and party size are common for tours.
Does it respect GoHighLevel permissions?
Yes. Changes go through GoHighLevel’s own API using the signed-in user’s session, so a user can only do what their GoHighLevel permissions already allow.
Does it leave a record on the contact?
If you want one. Notes can be added saying which tag was added or removed and by whom, or which field changed from what to what.
Where does the bar sit on screen?
Pick one of 6 starting positions. Each person can drag it where suits them; it remembers the spot, and a double-click on the grip puts it back.
Can different sub-accounts get different buttons?
Yes. Each chip and button can show in every sub-account or only the ones you list, which suits agencies with operators running different tour types.
Which package includes contact actions?
The contact actions bar starts in Explorer ($417 one-time) and is also in the higher package.
